Dr. Roger Benton’s career has been devoted to health and wellness. He joined Southern California Permanente Medical Group in 2000 as the Program Director for Population Care Management (chronic conditions program implementation) and as the Program Manager for Healthy Workforce in 2010, and has expanded his role to include instructor duties at the Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine. Over the years, his studies and research have revolved around topics such as alcohol use and abuse, alcohol tolerance, obesity, employee wellness, health management programs, health initiatives, and aging. Dr. Benton has promoted health and well-being through active roles as a health coach, and behind-the-scenes efforts, such analyzing data and using it to demonstrate trends and predictors of health-related outcomes.
